We are honored to have one of the top five nurses in Atlantic County and multiple DAISY award nominee Jill a part of the Nurses 24/7 family! "About 6 years ago, I was named one of the top five nurses in Atlantic County. I was nominated by a previous patient, who wrote into the local newspaper to tell of the nursing care she received by myself. Over the years, I have been given many awards such as daisy nominations and star awards from both patients and co-workers, recognizing me for the care, skill, and teamwork which I pride myself in."
Manager Recognition - Tonya, RN
"She is very flexible and a schedule consisting of every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is extremely helpful to help with our staffing needs. She is very responsive and takes ownership of the unit as if it is her own. She will send me emails if a unit did not return equipment or other unit specifics. I hear great things from the patients about how wonderful she is. She was recognized by a patient in a COVID area with a nice card explaining how she helped that patient through a difficult time."
First person in NJ to Receive the COVID Vaccination - Maritza, RN
Our very own healthcare hero, Maritza Beniquez was the first person in NJ to receive the COVID vaccination. Beniquez was joined by Gov. Phil Murphy, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and several healthcare professionals in front of the hospital to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the history-making occasion. Beniquez, who also turned 56 the same day she received her first inoculation last year, told reporters that day that receiving the vaccine was the best gift she could ask for.
